Dr. Charlene Shaw is an osteopathic physician with more than 20 years of experience caring for older adults and medically complex patients. She is board-certified in internal medicine, geriatrics, and hospice and palliative care and has a long history of serving patients in skilled nursing facilities and nursing homes. Much of her work has focused on improving the quality of life for seniors and people living with chronic or terminal conditions.
Today, Dr. Shaw brings that same commitment to her work with medical cannabis. Through reTHINK CANNABIS and CGS Physician Services, she helps patients in Florida and Pennsylvania explore whether cannabis might offer relief where other treatments haven't. Her approach is practical and personal, with an emphasis on education, communication, and helping each patient make informed choices about their care.
Dr. Shaw earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), an institution known for its patient-centered, whole-person approach to care. She went on to complete her internal medicine internship and residency at Miami Heart Institute and Mount Sinai Medical Center, where she served as chief resident.
She is board-certified in internal medicine, geriatrics, and hospice and palliative care and is licensed to practice medicine in Florida and Pennsylvania. Dr. Shaw is also a certified medical marijuana physician in both states, providing cannabis evaluations and follow-up care to eligible patients through reTHINK CANNABIS and CGS Physician Services.
